The practice

A small consultancy, deliberately

Pragmatica Tech Ltd was incorporated in England and Wales on 21 August 2025 and works from Plymouth, Devon. The name is the brief: advice that can be afforded, staffed and finished, written down clearly enough to be challenged.

Why the practice exists

The gap between “we need to sort out IT” and a plan

Organisations of ten to three hundred people occupy an awkward position. Technology decisions carry real money and real risk, but there is no full-time person whose job it is to make them. The choice on offer tends to be a large consultancy whose minimum engagement is out of proportion to the question, or a supplier whose advice arrives attached to a quote.

Pragmatica Tech exists for the space in between: engagements measured in weeks rather than quarters, priced before they start, and free of any interest in what you buy afterwards. The deliverable is a document, not a dependency.

We are a young company, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. What we offer is a defined method, a fixed price, written evidence for every claim, and a willingness to tell you when the answer is cheaper or smaller than you expected.

Principles

Six rules we do not negotiate

These govern what we take on and how we report. They exist because each of them is routinely broken elsewhere in this industry.

01

Independence is structural

No reseller agreements, no partner tiers, no commission, no referral fees. Our only revenue is the fee you pay us, which is what makes the advice worth having.

02

Evidence before opinion

Every material finding cites its source — a system, a document, an invoice or a named conversation. If we could not evidence it, it is flagged as a judgement, not stated as a fact.

03

Plain English throughout

Reports are written to be read by a finance director and a systems administrator alike. Jargon that survives a draft has to be earning its place.

04

Proportionate recommendations

The smallest change that resolves the problem wins. We would rather recommend three fixes than a transformation programme that will not be finished.

05

No surprises, ever

A weekly note during fieldwork means nothing in the final report is new to the sponsor. Scope changes are proposed and priced in writing before any extra work happens.

06

We decline work we should not take

If a question needs a specialist, a solicitor or an internal hire rather than a consultant, we will say so on the first call — before an invoice exists.

How we are set up

Named consultants, small engagements, written outcomes

We deliberately run a small practice. That constrains how much work we accept at once, and it is the reason the person you speak to on the scoping call is the person who does the fieldwork and writes the report.

  • One named consultant per engagement. No handover to a junior team once the scope is signed.
  • Specialists brought in openly. Where an engagement needs deeper expertise, we say who, why and at what cost — never silently.
  • Capacity limits are honoured. If we cannot start when you need us, we will tell you the real date rather than accept and delay.
  • Documents outlive us. Every deliverable is written so it remains useful to your team long after the engagement closes.

Transparency

What this website does not claim

Pragmatica Tech Ltd was incorporated in August 2025. We have therefore chosen not to publish client counts, logos, testimonials, case studies or track-record statistics, and you will not find any on this site. Everything stated here is either a matter of public record at Companies House or a commitment about how we will work with you.

Where figures appear — a one-working-day reply, a four-week assessment, a 45-minute scoping call, zero vendor commission — they are contractual undertakings, not measured historical performance. If a claim on this site ever ceases to be true, it will be removed rather than qualified.

Verify us. Company number 16664432 is searchable on the Companies House public register, where the incorporation documents, registered office and appointed director can be confirmed independently of anything written here.

Next step

Put us to work on one question

The best way to judge a consultancy is a small, well-defined piece of work. Send us the decision you are facing and we will propose the smallest engagement that answers it.
